On September 11, 2014 at approximately 7:13 a.m., Barstow Police Officers responded to a motel located in the 900 block of East Main Street for a reported rape. Officer Cardenas contacted the victim and obtained initial information. Barstow Police Detectives also responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
Jane Doe told Detectives that an acquaintance, who she only knows as “Aaron”, came to her residence on September 11, 2014, at approximately 4:00 a.m., and refused to leave when she asked him to. Jane Doe stated that “Aaron” then forced himself on top of her, raped her, and then fled from her room. The victim was able to provide detectives with a physical description of the suspect, as well as additional information, which assisted in the identification of a potential suspect.
Detectives collected evidence from the scene and conducted several witness interviews. The information provided by the victim and continued investigation revealed a possible suspect named Aaron Williams. The victim later positively identified Aaron Williams as the subject that raped her.
At approximately 10:56 a.m., Detective Nevarez located Aaron Williams at his residence in the 1600 block of Sunrise Road, and placed him under arrest. Detectives interviewed Williams and collected additional evidence related to the offense.
Aaron Williams was booked at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Barstow Jail for PC 261(a)(2) Rape by Force or Fear.
