Curt Mitchell

Before coming to the City of Barstow, Curt Mitchell served twelve years in the California Community College system as the Vice-President of Administrative Services at Barstow Community College, and Vice-President of Business Services at Norco College.  He was also the Interim President at Barstow in 2004-05.  Mr. Mitchell’s professional background comprises twenty-seven years experience in management positions, including time with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.  In addition, he has teaching and coaching experience at both the high school and community college levels.

Mr. Mitchell earned his Master of Business Administration degree from City University, his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Azusa-Pacific University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Technology from Chapman University, and an Associate of Arts degree from Barstow College.

Curt has lived in Barstow for 48 years.  He and his wife Sherry have three children.
