The City of Barstow is committed to assisting its residents in providing affordable housing to serve the local work force and improving the condition of housing in existing neighborhoods so that they are maintained as assets to the community. • All of these programs have income eligibility requirements. A household must make less than a certain amount of income each year to qualify.
• Most of these programs are secured by a silent second and lien will be placed against your home.
• Homeowners will not have to repay the money as long as they remain in the home and maintain their eligibility.
• Each program has different requirements.
