The Public Works encompasses a variety of functions. The department is responsible for constructing, repairing, maintaining and cleaning the City of Barstow's buildings, streets, sidewalks, curbs & gutters and storm drains including City Hall, Sportspark and Harvey House. Other duties include maintenance of traffic signs and markings, ensuring that signs are properly posted to enforce safety, graffiti removal, special events, parades, banners, Christmas lights, street lights and golf course maintenance.
