Place your clean natural, un-flocked tree out for collection on your regular thrash collection day during the week of December 28, 2009, through January 8, 2010, for Burrtec Waste Industries to collect for mulching. You can also drop off your clean tree during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, at Burrtec’s yard located at 2340 W. Main Street in Barstow.

Before placing your tree curbside, please remove all stands, wires, lights, tinsel, etc. The trees will be chipped up for mulch or composting. Stands, nails, wires and many other foreign objects create hazards for workers chipping the trees and ruin the finished product.

Artificial trees and flocked trees cannot be composted. These trees should be discarded in your regular trash can or donated. For more information, contact Burrtec Waste Industries at 760-256-2730.
