The Collection System, is maintained an operated by the City of Barstow, which is comprised of the sewer mains, trunk lines (large pipelines) and manholes. 
The City currently has 113 miles of sewer pipes, varying in size from 6 to 33 inches,  carrying waste material to the plant for treatment.  The entire collection system is cleaned once every two years by our Contract Operator, United Water.

To report a sewer overflow, water coming up from a manhole lid in the street, please contact Police Dispatch, 24 hours a day, at 760-256-2211.
