BARSTOW, CA – Sept. 4th, 2025 - The City of Barstow and Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway hosted a community meeting in Barstow on Sept. 4th to share updates on the significant ‘BIG’ project and development improvements that will shape the city’s future. These initiatives reflect the city's commitment to a positive new direction for the entire community. During the town hall meeting, there were many special guests and speakers, including Dr. Eva Bagg Superintendent-President of Barstow Community College, representatives from State Senator Shannon Groves' office, representatives from the U.S. Congressman Jay Obernolte’s office, representatives form Senator Rosilicie Ochoa-Bogh’s office, representatives for the Barstow Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Laura Alvarado Executive Dean for Barstow Community College, Colin Drukker of Placeworks, and Lena Kent of BNSF.
