Our Communications Center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be reached by calling (760) 256-2211 for non-emergencies and 9-1-1 for life threatening emergencies. Our center currently employs 10 full-time dispatchers and 1 part-time dispatcher. All personnel in this division work under the supervision of the Police Services Supervisor.
In addition to dispatching police calls, our dispatchers also provide services to the Fire Protection District. Dispatchers are certified in CPR, and emergency medical pre-arrival instruction, in addition to being certified by the Commission on Police Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T).
Our 11-member team combines decades of dispatching experience with a commitment to customer service. Our goal is to coordinate the city’s resources to best address the needs of the citizens of the City of Barstow.
